By the year 1968, The Robert Taylor Homes public housing projects were ran by gangs like the Cobra Stones (Mickey Cobras). Since the invention of 'gangster rap' in the late 80s & early 90s, many rappers haven't been shy to claim the gangs they come from. Englewood The majority if Englewood Disciples chose BGD; however, that majority was not staggering over the number of BDs as BDs would have a major following as one their largest territories in Chicago.
